Hi there! I’m Adria (the person behind the blog) and I am passionate about travel – and specifically traveling in a way that allows me to see as much of the world as possible on a budget. I went on my first international trip when I was 5 years ago, and have since been to over 20 countries. I am addicted to traveling, and make it my personal goal to see as many different places as possible each year on my limited vacation time. Many of my vacations have been solo, so I know what it feels like to both travel on your own and with a companion (and honestly, they both have their pros and cons).
I grew up in a suburb of Vancouver, Canada before coming down to the US to go to college at BYU. I work a normal 9-5 job at a tech company in marketing and live in Seattle with my husband. I recently finished my MBA, so I guess you could say I am as passionate about business as I am about travel!
The reason why I started this website is because I had many friends and family ask me lots of questions about my travels. I found that a lot of people had incorrect assumptions about my travels – including that I must have unlimited vacation time, a huge budget, or be an expert traveler. Although I wish I had unlimited vacation time and budget to travel the world, I am just like most of you, and do what I can with the resources I have. I always thought travel was out of my reach, so I’m excited to share everything I’ve picked up over the last 5 years with you. I’m still learning more about how to travel better every time I go on a trip, so I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve made mistakes and that I am imperfect. I’m excited to continue to learn and grow as I continue to travel the world (I do have an entire wall in my apartment dedicated to my travels after all).
